Study areas

Three core areas to explore

Start with the foundations, then move into the arithmetic and letter charts that connect a name or birth date to its numbers.

Foundations

Single-digit meanings

Reference overviews of the archetypal meanings for numbers 1 through 9 and the master numbers 11, 22, and 33, written as context rather than fixed traits.

Calculation

Birth reduction math

Clear formulas for reducing a birth date to a life path number, plus step-by-step methods for calculating personal year numbers.

Letters

Name letter charts

Alphabet value tables with guidance on reading letters in a name, so each character's contribution is easy to follow and check.

Calculation guide

How a life path number is reduced

01

Write out the birth date

Take the day, month, and year as digits. For example, 14 March 1990 becomes 1, 4, 3, 1, 9, 9, 0.

02

Add all the digits

Sum every digit: 1 + 4 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 27.

03

Reduce the total

Add the digits of the sum again: 2 + 7 = 9. Stop early if the total is 11, 22, or 33, since those master numbers are kept.

04

Read the meaning in context

Look up the resulting number in the single-digit reference to explore its archetypal meaning as a starting point for reflection.
